Strength represents the courage, strength and endurance necessary to achieve self-control and tame the lion within. It indicates the need for harmony between the conscious and the unconcious, the ego and the id, the reconciliation of the civilised person with their primordial desire nature. Strength suggests the need to tame and integrate our instinctual urges through loving acceptance and gentle force rather than repressing them.
